We are just back from a wonderful live-in Family Leadership Adventure Break at the Cavan Centre with a fantastic group of families. Our first in-person weekend in three years. It was an action-packed weekend with a focus on fun, adventure, learning and friendship! Families got to go kayaking, take part in arts & crafts, try archery, high ropes, rock walls, go-karts and lots more. It goes without saying that the highlight for everyone was the big bonfire on Saturday night!
We ran two workshops for parents and older brothers and sisters over the weekend, where families were invited to work together to think about actions they want to take for a more inclusive life now and into the future. Huge thanks to all the families who took part, to the Leap ‘family pals’ who provide some additional assistance to families and to the fantastic Cavan Centre staff for looking after us all. Additionally, it was a pleasure to host three Ukrainian families for the first time this weekend. Below are a selection of photos from the weekend.
